Application Note

RMB-CM-BRACKET helps to secure your 1U server in the cabinet. Most experienced technicians will tell you that the L Bracket on the front of the 1U server is not strong enough to support the entire weight of the server. You will need to install a rear mount bracket (C) as shown on the diagram on the left. The RMB-CM-BRACKET is designed to evenly distribute the server weight through pairs of front and rear mount brackets.

RMB-CM-BRACKET is simple to install. The adjustable rear bracket allows you to extend up to 30" in depth. It is also certified to work with most of commonly used tap screw and cage nuts. If you plan to install your 1U server in a cabinet without a shelf, you will need to order one of the RMB-CM-BRACKET for proper rackmount installation.

Q. Does RMB-CM-BRACKET supports IBM, DELL, or Compaq rackmount servers?

A. No, it is only certified to work with all ColoMachine 1U servers.

Q. Do you need special tool to install RMB-CM-BRACKET ?

A. No, it comes with all the necessary screws and nuts required for assembly. However, it does not come with the standard SQUARE NUTS screws for the cabinet installation.

Q. Do you require space between two 1U server with RMB-CM-BRACKET?

A. Our RMB-CM-BRACKET is designed to give you the maximum space in your rack cabinet. You do not need to leave additional space when install multiple RMB-CM-BRACKET sliding rails.

Q. Does RMB-CM-BRACKET works with 2 poles rack?

A. No, RMB-CM-BRACKET is designed for 4 poles rack. It does not work with 2 poles rack.

Q. Can you center mount RMB-CM-BRACKET ?

A. No, It is not designed for Center Mount.

Q. When do you need to install a RMB-CM-BRACKET ?

A. If you plan to install your 1U server in a rackmount and you do not want to use a shelf system. You will need to use RMB-CM-BRACKET for proper installation and weight support.

Q. Is there other way to mount a 1U Rackmount server besides RMB-CM-BRACKET ?

A. You can use SR02-GD24 sliding rail to mount your 1U rackmount server.
